At the western foot of Baiyun Mountain in Xisha town of Huaian County, Hebei Province, there is a small mountain village called South Liujiayao, with a population of less than 60 people and an average age of more than 65 years old. Villagers have been living in earth kilns for generations, and all of them have become dangerous kilns because of the age of the buildings, wind erosion and rain erosion.
